Well here we have it, 2022 is upon us and with the promising outlook of easing travel measures around the globe we are hopeful of a very productive 2022 season, here's the report from our season opener and what a fantastic one it was!

For the first group of the season we started slightly earlier than usual and welcomed a group of 10 keen Argentinian anglers all hopeful of ticketing off some bucket list fish and many did just that!
They opened the week with a great account of Roosterfish and Jack topwater frenzy action with the top boat returning to port after the first day having landed around 40 Roosterfish, incredible! The following days saw similar action when the guys wanted to knock up some numbers of these species however the forever looming ambition of other species and bigger specimens dwindled and found our captains taking them to other grounds to find more bucket list fish.
The fishing between the different boats varied at times as they capitalised on more productive fishing and alternatively had to work harder for fish when they wasn't so forgiving to bite but throughout the week the anglers got amongst a great variety of species including some exceptional specimens on our specialist popping and jigging disciplines that we focus on at our lodge.
Top angler of the week ticking off a fantastic Roosterfish and also a Cubera snapper both on topwater was Pablo, well done that man!
Staff member Kieren also snook out with partner Cassie for a couple of quick Panga boat session in the week and managed some fish!

An awesome catch by any standards on Slow Pitch tactics, a Goliath Grouper doesn't fall easy to this method neither will it give up easily being extracted from its rocky lair.

Some great Roosterfish action was around this week with some great specimens being landed by the team!
An unusual catch but very welcomed, Golden Trevally falling to SPJ tactics, a good size one too!
