This week was round 2 of 3 for hosting groups from Europe from our European agency ‘Getaway Sea Angling’.

It was one of those weeks this week which happens time to time when for the most part the fish seem even more finicky to catch so action on quantities of fish lacked at times, however there was some serious quality fish on offer this week, not the most mental week for action but certainly made up for it with the potential quality on offer.

This week saw some quality Cubera landed on topwater and as usual many lost, jumped many big Tarpon, a fantastic huge Pacific Snook, some big Roosters, Broomtail groupers, a Goliath Grouper and very good numbers of monster Corvina, 1 boat landed 9 huge Corvina in quick succession! A week of PB’s for many!

Aside from the bigger specimen fish a mix of the usual species we encounter made up the action.

In the closing days of the week the inshore fishing had its frantic moments as they found multiple Roosterfish frenzies however mainly smaller fish but still super fun!

Peter had a Grouper on his list for when visiting Panama, initially a Broomtail was the plan however he'll settle happily for this Golaith Grouper he caught between an impressive haul of giant Corvina.

TARPON!

Tarpon prevailed in good numbers this week, the forever tricky fish to catch proves even harder on lures as they leaper and viciously shake their head during their acrobatics. That being said its not to say our clients didn't give it a good go, some fights lasting longer that others.

Pierre and Kieren hitched a quick few hours one afternoon with the news of Tarpon about, they found them in good numbers getting multiple hits connecting well with a couple of them.

A few others from the week

There was a lack of photos of the more general captures this week, the sort of fish that make up the majority of the fishing day in-between the trophy fish we are hunting.

This week we had one of our European agencies Getaway Sea Angling join us for round 1 of a 3 week assault on fishing the Tuna Coast with our operation. The group consisted of 4 guests from Poland and 4 from Germany.

The week saw a good variety of fish brought to the boats with some lovely specimens in the mix of Roosters, Cubera, Mahi, Corvina, African Pompano, Baracuda and Mullet snapper along with many other of the usual suspects falling to a wide variety of methods, there was also as always a number of seriously big fish finding fault in the anglers and their tackle.
