Weather's finally coming back to normal on the Tuna Coast of Panama. This week we welcomed again Chris and Jeff, 2 very competent slow pitch jigging aficionados from the US, and their team. Weather conditions were not ideal, with still some wind and rain, but things are definitely improving on that front and we're hoping for a better second half of the rainy season. Fishing was pretty average for Pedasi: not a bad week by any means but not one for the records either. Highlights of the week included good sized roosterfish on the slow jigging outfits. One day of killing it on the big chernas -our version of the warsaw/snowy grouper- as the current allowed us to fish the deepest marks. And Chris hooking an estimated 200lbs marlin that ate his slow jig. Cuberas showed up a few times behind the lures but for the most part were very shy to commit. As always, a few monsters won their fight and we'll never know for sure what and how big they were... Heart-breaking but that's what ultimately keeps you coming back.

All right guys I guess I have been lazy again with the reports. Weather-wise, we've just experienced the worst month of June ever. Challenging conditions with most days rainy and windy. As one can imagine, that can really limit the options for dropping a jig or throwing a popper. Fortunately, the fish were biting good and all groups had a good mix of action and trophy fish. Here are some pictures from the month of June. As always at Panafishing, all fish caught popping & jigging !
