This week we welcomed back our European Agency 'Getaway Sea Angling' for the first group of a 3 week assault popping and jigging on the Tuna Coast of Panama with us at Panafishing. For most it was their first trip to Panama or their first trip of this kind overall!

The week saw a mix of conditions with the start of the week seeing some stronger winds and dropping as the week went on. The guys made no mistake and got stuck into the fishing we have on offer here, there was 2 absolutely exceptional Cubera Snapper caught on the same day by Rick on Slow Jig which makes for the 2nd monster specimen caught this year on SPJ along with Kieren's fish in January and Stephan also had one on Popper, both fish were absolute units and they certainly don't come too much bigger than that!

Other fish to note were a big Mullet snapper for Klaus, a good Broomtail grouper, Almaco Jack and Red Snapper for Mathias which all came in quick succession and a good sized Broomtail for Phillip. There were hives of inshore activity found throughout the week as our clients found feeding frenzies of Roosterfish and Jacks to throw their lures at and many were caught (many more than what I have included in the report)  with all anglers finding their Rooster!

Many other species were caught through the week, There was a more prominent presence of the big Pink Amberjacks and Albacore that were providing more consistent sport jigging with some big Red Snappers obliging also!

All in all a fantastic vibe at the Lodge this week, lots of fun was had and lets see how the fishing fairs for the next group going into week 2!

However not the normal species everyone is after, when the bite is harder these stud Pink Amberjacks are more than welcome as these bigger ones can pull some string and provide good sport whilst other fish may not be on the feed.
