If you wonder how is the fishing on the Tuna Coast of Panama during the green season, make sure to follow the reports to come and those from previous years. This particular season is a little unusual weather-wise, as with every years with an El Nino influence. We are experiencing unusual wind form the North out of Pedasi, and while this does not bother with the inshore fishing, it limits the options to go offshore. Likewise, the water maybe did not warm up as much as other years, and so the jigging offshore has been less reliable than other years. On a positive note, weather has been better than usual this year. Weather isn't a great concern when fishing the Tuna Coast at this time fo the year. Unlike the Chiriqui area, there are no mountains here to hold the clouds so we merely get half the rainfall that other parts of Panama gets. Check out the pictures of the groups we had this first week of July. All fish caught on artificial lures as always at the Panafishing lodge, the only 100% popping & jigging fishing lodge in Central America ! Notice the great variety !
