Pretty good fishing this week on the Tuna Coast of Panama. We are starting to see typical wet season conditions with a good mix of variety and some nice trophy fish mixed in. We saw much more cubera snapper than roosterfish this week, and also some trophy sized mullet snappers. The dorados were still around in good numbers and size, and there was some particularly fat jack crevalle, and many of them ! Overall, action on popper was pretty steady with the odd slow day. It's been a good week. On the bad side, the jigging is still poor and there is a big absentee so far this year: the small yellowfin tunas that are usually all over the inshore spot this time of the year. Only a matter of time before they show up. As always when they are biting good, the cubera snappers did some damage and most won their freedom. Check it out !
